The farm is situated in Carregal do Sal, Parada, a little more than one hour drive from Oporto (140kms) and two and a half hours from Lisbon (250 kms) by car.
Coímbra, the third biggest city in the country, famous for its university which dates back to the thirteenth centuryand is internationally recognized for its excellent Medical and Law Schools,is 50 kms away.
Viseu, voted the city with the best quality of life in Portugal, is 30 kms away.
Activities and Services available in the Region
The closest urban centres, Coimbra and Viseu, offer evermore cultural activities such as Theatre, Music, Dance, Concerts and Art Exhibitions. Being an area of thermal springs, within a radius of 35kms, one may find Luso, Caramulo and São Pedro, to name a few.
Serra da Estrela is the only winter skiing resort in Portugal, and Figueira da Foz, a surfing area and a summer resort town, are both a 45 minutes drive away.
The region’s abundance of rivers caters to a range of water sports, namely water-skiing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking and rafting. Other activities like golf, horse riding, mountain biking, paragliding and other extreme sports can be experienced in the vicinity of the property.
